Smart Timer at the Heart of West Ham’s Player Development Programs
As part of the West Ham United Player Pathway Programme, players aged 8 to 18 now have access to professional-grade performance analytics, enabling them to track progress, set benchmarks, and improve their skills more efficiently.
The Smart Timer football training app was recently implemented at West Ham’s Academy of Football in Chadwell Heath, where domestic and international players, including those from George Cowie Football in Australia, participated in a high-intensity data-driven training session.
Bryan Glover, Director of Programmes at the West Ham United Foundation, highlighted the impact of integrating Smart Timer into training sessions:
"Today showcased the breadth of programs we offer, and it was great to see that our new partnership with Smart Timer has been fully integrated across the pathway. We’re committed to providing young footballers with the best training opportunities, and Smart Timer plays a key role in tracking and improving performance at every level."
